METAL COMMODITIES
california RECYCLING REGULATIONS - CUSTOMER NOTICE
To help prevent metal theft and comply with California law, Green Evolution Recycling follows all state requirements for buying and selling recyclable metals.
-
We are required to record your name, ID, vehicle license number, and a description of the materials you sell.
-
For non-ferrous metals (such as copper, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and alloys), we must also collect a thumbprint, take photos or video of both the seller and materials, and hold payments for three business days before release.
-
AB 476 (2025) added new rules requiring recyclers to keep electronic transaction records for at least two years, verify seller identity and ownership before payment, and provide records to law enforcement upon request.
-
Law enforcement may place a temporary hold or seize materials believed to be stolen, and penalties for violations have increased.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping maintain a safe and transparent recycling process for everyone.

We inspect all metal materials and grades. Our center does not accept metal materials with the following conditions: hazardous materials and medical waste.

Metal grade prices fluctuate daily. We recommend contacting us by phone or email for the latest pricing before bringing in your materials.
CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE & SALE
Metal commodities are currently accepted primarily from commercial and industrial generators in conjunction with paper recycling and logistics programs. Material acceptance may vary by grade, quantity, and market conditions. Certain metal grades may be sourced or marketed through established downstream recovery partners.
